ABOUT LES MAYERS

Remember to turn up the volume and view on full screen.

Les Mayers is an established artist and designer who lives and works in Southern California.  A true Renaissance-man, he continually develops and pioneers’ innovative new methods of creating, producing and displaying art.  His vibrant and eclectic work is increasingly impacting the art community and helping re-define the role that fine art plays in our society.

Whether you're enjoying one of Mayers' breathtaking landscapes or a poignant exploration of human emotions, Mayers' expansive oeuvre d'art is a virtual feast for the eyes that reflects multiple diverse and engaging cultural experiences.  His unique style and innovative presentation techniques combine elements of surrealism, pop art, and abstract expressionism.  Les’ art is vibrant and energetic, with kaleidoscopic hues that dance across the canvas in a riot of movement and emotion.  One of the most striking aspects of Mayers' work is his use of intense color, imaginatively chosen to evoke specific moods and feelings in the viewer.

His current art pioneers the latest advances in digital technology and incorporates emerging new media, such as milled metal, Plexiglas, ceramic, and other innovative substrate materials.  His artistic pursuits include fine art, sculpture, photography, new forms of immersive art experiences, and  product design.

Mayers' art has a strong narrative element and is known for multi-level storytelling.  Each piece tells a unique story that draws in viewers and invites them to explore the meaning and symbolism that lie beneath the surface. Whether you're a seasoned art aficionado or a casual observer, you'll enjoy exploring the colorful world of Les Mayers’ innovative contemporary art.

Mayers' innovative art exhibits have been seen, from coast to coast throughout the United States, including public art exhibits on full-sized digital outdoor billboards and on large digital screens, as seen in this illustration of one of Mayers' Public art exhibits that took place in New York's iconic Times Square.

His subject matter includes landscapes, seascapes, portraits, impressionistic studies of flowers and trees, urban landscapes, architecture, and abstract studies.  Many of Les' more recent works originate as hand-drawn concept sketches or enhanced photographic images.  He creates art using innovative techniques he personally developed and continues to hone, and continually explores exciting new ways to display his art.

Mayers' ongoing explorations of the latest advances in digital technology enable him to pioneer advanced new types of media and progressive ways to expand the presentation his work.  By incorporating and adapting new technologies, Les has developed updated versions of traditional wall art, various categories of consumer products (for the fashion, gift, and home deco markets), and innovatrive commercial products designed for the interior and exterior architectural materials markets.

Art presentations on natural-fiber silk and other types of fabric materials, led to Mayers' involvement with international fashion and fashion accessory manufacturers, as well as manufacturers of other types of consumer and commercial products.

His experiences developing presentations for full-sized digital outdoor billboards, large digital screens, and experiences with progressive morphing color imagery, aided in the development of his innovative new presentation concepts such as the MAYERS | CONTEMPORARY art museum and other new immersive interactive art experiences.
